Dr. Adrian Bartoș is a senior consultant general surgeon with special focus and wide expertise in digestive and peritoneal oncologic surgery, hepato-bilio-pancreatic surgery, minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic surgery) and intraoperative ultrasound, with more than 5500 surgical interventions as a main operator to date. He has a PhD in medicine, with habilitation thesis in the field of advanced tumors, with more than 70 article published as main author and coauthor. He is a founding member and president of the “Association for Research and Treatment of Advanced Abdomino-Pelvic Tumors” (ACTTAPA), a Romanian association that financially supports and organize teaching and research activities.

He is a member of international professional societies including ‘‘European Association for Endoscopic Surgery and other interventional techniques (EAES)’’ and ‘‘The International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologist and Oncologists (IASGO)’’. He is a member of the steering board of the ‘‘Romanian Society of Emergency and Trauma Surgery’’. With professional skills recognized in Europe and in the USA by obtaining the titles of Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS) and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Adrian Bartoș has as a priority direction in the continuous development of oncologic surgery, research and teamwork being fundamental elements of his activity. Other relevant positions include investigator and sub-investigator in multiple Phase II-III clinical trials and a representative for EUROPMP network, subdomain of peritoneal cancers.
