Eng. Horia Cămărășan is a PhD candidate in Atmospheric Remote Sensing at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Engineering, where his research focuses on the integration of satellite Earth Observation data and advanced computing techniques for atmospheric analysis. He has contributed to major European scientific initiatives, including roles as an LCA Data Scientist for the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission and as a Geospatial Python Developer supporting the European Space Agency (ESA). His work spans topics such as aerosol radiative forcing, satellite-derived air quality assessment, and scalable geospatial data processing with Dask and Xarray. Horia Cămărășan has co-authored peer-reviewed publications and technical reports in the fields of remote sensing and environmental data science, and continues to contribute to innovative research at the intersection of climate, policy, and technology.
