Fields of interest/specialization: cancer research, multidisciplinary approach in cancer therapy, gynaecological cancers
Prof. univ. dr Nagy Viorica Magdalena is a primary care physician in oncology-radiotherapy, with a second specialty in medical oncology and chemotherapy. She has carried out teaching activities at the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and as head of the Oncology-Radiotherapy Discipline she coordinated the training of medical students and residents in the field of oncology. She is also a doctoral supervisor in the field of medicine. In parallel, she had clinical activity in the “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Oncology Institute, Radiotherapy department, the main field of activity including radio- and chemotherapy of gynaecological cancers, and was also the coordinator of the Multidisciplinary Gynaecology Commission of the institute. She has published 83 ISI or BDI indexed articles and 14 books/book chapters as first/single author. She has participated in 7 research grants: in 2 as grant director, in 2 as coordinator and in 3 as research team member. She is member of various national and European scientific/professional oncology societies.
