Dr. Alin Olteanu is Associate Professor of Media Studies at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. He is a leading researcher in semiotics, having pioneeringly contributed to the semiotic approach to education. He has published prolifically on a broad area of topics related to semiotics and has taught at several universities in Europe and Asia. Currently, he is interested to developing a semiotic theory of technology, as a contribution to philosophy of technology.
